I was partly telling the truth. Sure, I wasn’t tried, but I did feel a little warm, and if I stand still for to long, the room starts spinning.

As soon as I closed the door, I hear a low growling like sound. I quickly turned around, but saw nothing. I slowly walked toward my bed, glancing around the room at any sound I heard.

When I reached my bed, I noticed the window that was right above the headboard was wide open.

I quickly shut it with a loud thud and locked it closed.  ‘It was probably a stray dog outside and that’s why you heard it.’ I told myself. ‘You can just put all this aside and wait for the summer to be over.’

I let out a heavy sigh and fell flat on the bed. I sort of wished I had taken a pain killer or something before I came in, because now my head was thudding with every beat of my heart.

I cuddled up into a ball. I don’t know why, but the room felt like it was getting colder and colder, even though my head was burning up.

I closed my eyes tightly with a sudden pain in my gut. Then a burning pain in my heart, like what most people would think a heart attack would be, but worse.

I really wanted to scream, but Aunt Charlotte would have come running up here. She’d then yell at Tom asking what I was doing in the woods alone anyway and everyone would get in trouble, all because of me.

Rrraugghhhrrr-that low growling sound again…from under the bed?

Not even bothering to get up to look, I yelled, “I know you’re in here you mutt!” Loud enough for him to hear me, but quiet enough that nobody downstairs would hear.

“That’s not a very nice thing to say to a werewolf, now is it?” I opened my eye to see him sitting next to my bed. Oh how I wanted to punch him so badly, but all I could do was give him the worst death glare he’d get in a loooong time.

He just raised an eyebrow. “What? It’s not like I went threw all you stuff or anything.”

“Kindly piss off and die mutt.”

He chuckled at my comment and replied, “Ah and I thought we could be friends. I mean I didn’t eat you, you should be grateful.”

“There’s nothing to be “grateful” about you messin with that “soup” of yours to cause THIS much pain to a person in under an hour!”

“Yeah well, it wasn’t really my idea to do that.” He rested his head on the bed so he could look me in the eye. “You might not believe me, but the witch of this town told me to do that.”

I raised an eyebrow in interest. “Really now? It’d make sense since, correct me if I’m wrong, she can kill you somehow.”

He grinned. “Yup and it would in fact be much more painful then what you’re going through.”

“And how would YOU know what the heck I’m going through right now?!”

“Cause that “soup” I gave you was an experiment she wanted to test on someone, you just so happened to have been the first person to be around when it was done. Her experiment was to see if she could make a potion to turn people into werewolves.”

“So there’s a freakin witch in this town who wants to be able to turn people into werewolves, most likely to allow witches to have more power in some sort of way?”

He shrugged “Most likely yes.” I paused for a moment. “And you’re saying that…I’m becoming a werewolf?”

He looked at me with these sad puppy like eyes. “Sadly yes, and to quickly for my taste.”

“Explain.”

He sat strait up and crossed his arms. “For me, I didn’t take notice of it until four days and nights had pasted. For you it was instant. My body temperature didn’t start to rise until a week later. You, again, were almost instant. And this pain you are going through is your bones, skin, organs, and everything else inside you trying to fight off you changing body. I didn’t feel this kind of pain till a month had passed.”

Took me a while to inhale it all, but I got his point. Her potion was to fast to be safe. What’s supposed to take a month or so is happening to me overnight.

“There’s one other thing.” He started, “During the whole thing, I had nightmares. Nightmares of a wolf chasing a child, more specific a boy, through the woods late at night during a full moon.”

I looked right at him as he continued.

“No matter how fast the child ran, the wolf seemed to get faster and faster. The child tried everything he could. He ran up a tree, but the wolf was strong enough to knock it right over with one swipe of its paw. He ran into a rabbit’s hole, but he wolf’s big paws dig into the rabbit’s hole so it could also enter. He ran into a dark cave, only to hear the wolf’s breath hidden in the shadows of it. Just when he thought it was the end, he saw up ahead a little old house.”
“The child ran into the house and locked the door. When he turned around, he saw an old woman by a brick fireplace. He walked up to her, ‘Miss, I know I’m just a child and I just entered without asking, but I beg of you miss. May I stay for the night?’ The old woman turned to the little boy and smiled the sweetest smile ever.”

“ ‘Of course you may, a child should never be alone in the woods at night.’ The boy thanked the old women for her kindness. She told him he could wait on the couch so she could discuses this with her son when he got home from his trip into town. Just then there was a knock on the door. The old woman got up and opened it and at the door was a tall, brown haired man. As soon as the door was opened all the way, the man looked right at the boy.

“The old woman then asked, “Did you find anything tonight my dear.” The way she had said it sent chills down the boy’s spine, somehow it didn’t seem like the same sweet old lady he had just talked to. “No mother, all the…shops, were closed.” The man said this with his eyes still locked on the boy.

“The woman let out a sigh of disappointment and turned to the boy. ‘I’m sorry my dear, but my son was out getting us some food to eat…’ as she said this, they both slowly walked over to the child. ‘You see little boy,’ the man started. ‘My mother and I eat only a certain kind of food.’ Just then the boy’s arm was grabbed by the man. ‘A-and th-that would b-be?’ the boy shuttered.
“Both the woman and man smiled evilly, showing these huge white canine fangs. ‘Why my dear, we only eat fresh, juicy, ray meat.’ They then turned into wolves and howled as they were about to begin their feast...”
HA! You thought that the werewolf was the bad guy didn't you? Well you're WRONG!!! It is in fact the witch of the town who's the bad guy...or girl.
